Episode 39 – “Steve Glosson Strikes Back” or Game On With Greg Bear” of your Star Wars Book Report
In today’s Steve Glosson is back to break down more of the movie novelizations, as he tries to defend the novelization of Episode IV…I am Serious. He is going to argue this is a good book. I jest. I would like you to weigh in on our discussion. Do you agree with Steve that this novelization is great and entertaining? or do you agree with Wayne and I that this book left a lot to be desired? You can e-mail us your opinion to jesse@starwarsbookreport.com or you can jot us a note on Facebook or tweet us twits on Twitter @swbookreport. We want you to sound off on this novel.
After Wayne, Steve, and I argue for a while, we bring on a much more agreeable guest in Mr. Greg Bear who is the author of numerous science fiction novels that have won multiple Hugo and Nebula awards. He authored Rogue Planet in the Star Wars Universe, and in working on a Halo prequel trilogy. He also consulted for NASA, which I just think is too cool.
So come along and explore with us the galaxy one page at a time as we enjoy two guest in Steve Glosson and Mr. Greg Bear.

Episode 37 – “To Han Or Not To Han” or “Steve Glosson Sets Me Straight” of your Star Wars Book Report
In today’s Halloween Special, Wayne and I break down Death Troopers by Joe Schreiber. We discuss the impressive character development in this novel, how this novel gave us the willys, and just what a fun read this novel was. We also discuss whether or not this book ripped of a movie that takes place in Raccoon City. Lastly, we have a nice argument over whether on not one famous character needed to be in this novel.
We also have a great chat/argument with Steve Glosson from http://www.geekoutpodcast.com/ and www.steveglosson.com and I am sure several other websites. Steve comes on to explain Episode II to me after listening to our Episode 35 on Attack of the Clones. It is a discussion that is, at times, insightful, off topic, brilliant, confused, a train wreck, funny, and much more…you just have to listen to it.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this rather lengthy joy ride of we affectionately call your Star Wars Book Report.

Episode 35 – “Attack Of The Dopes” or “The Marvelous Chris Smith” of your Star Wars Book Report
Today we break down the novelization of Attack of the Clones by R. A. Salvatore. We discuss the flaws and overall oddness to aspects of the plot. We share just how blown away we were by the visuals in this movie, and equally blown away at how Salvatore captures that action in print. There is much to love and some to be frustrated by in this story. We are fired up as we journey through the movie novelizations.
Also, today, Chris Smith stops by to discuss some old school Star Wars EU as we dive into the first ten issues of the Marvel Star Wars Comic run, where we talk pink fur dice and rabbits. Man, comics were trippy back in the day.
Lastly, we share our awful opening weekends in our Fantasy Football Mega Challenge…where I like to think we were being nice to our listeners, but really I just got my tail kicked, and I share who’s been commenting on my pics on Facebook. I way, way too excited about that little tidbit, so come along and explore the galaxy with us one page at a time.

“We Need More Statues” or “Holt On Just A Minute”
Review of Knight Errant 5: Aflame 5
It is well known that I have really enjoyed this comic series, and the reason why is characters. Kerra Holt is a fascinating character with her passion to complete the mission given to her by her fallen Jedi master. Palladane is a jaded ex-Jedi returning to his Jedi roots to help the people of Chelloa, which was cool. Lord Odion is a Sith who uses brute force to make his will a reality, and then there is Lord Daiman. I love Lord Daiman…Greatest Sith Lord ever! His arrogance and his delusions are wonderfully twisted that makes this comic so wonderful, but this being just a five book series left me wanting more, and not in a good way. There were just so many story lines left open. I know there is a novel that goes with the series, and Dark Horse does have plans right now to do future Knight Errant runs. Five stories to me just seem to be too short to develop a hard core fan base to help Knight Errant become a staple in the Star Wars Universe. I am sure Dark Horse is hoping the Knight Errant novel will do so. This ended just too soon that left you wondering how all these story lines are going to be completed.
Onto this comic, I enjoyed it. Lord Odion is invading Chelloa to take it from his little brother Daiman. Odion brings overwhelming force to just crush his brother. While Odion is invading. Holt and Palladane work to help the villagers of Chelloa take over some barridium transports from Lord Daiman in order to escape Chelloa. Then, there is Lord Daiman who uses his delightfully twisted brain instead of the brute force that his older brother loves to use. Lord Odion as he is invading does take some twisted joy in the death this invasion is bringing. Then, Lord Daiman springs his trap. The weapons factory of Daiman, that Odion is trying to capture, are not really weapoins factory. They are kinetic corrupter, so Daiman is going to blow up the surface of this planet to kill Odion, his troops, the villagers, Holt, and Palladane. Odion realizes that he has walked into Daiman’s trap…like he could ever match wits with the awesome Lord Daiman.
