Episode 59 “Clone Wars Chatter” or “Don’t Call It A Comeback” of your Star Wars Book Report

In this episode, Wayne and I discuss the first few episodes of the Star Wars: the Clone Wars animated series, and we give our thoughts on the return of Maul and Oppress, and the trilogy (so far) of training the patriots or terrorists depending on your view.

Then, Wayne shares his interviews from Fan Expo Canada in Toronto.  He has a good chat with artist Robert Bailey.  You will be very interesting in a painting commissioned by Lucas for his own personal collection.  Then, Wayne chat with artist Keven J. Anderson and his latest project which uses the word “steam punk” whatever that means.  Finally Wayne talks up some new Halo news.

So come along and explore the galaxy with us one page at a time.

Thanks for listening, Jesse

Episode 38 – “I Apologize For Our Negativity” or “Katching Up With Kevin J. Anderson” of your Star Wars Book Report

In today’s episode, we continue our wild journey through novelizations of the Star Wars movies, and we dive into not only the first Star Wars novel…we dive into the world’s first glimpse into the Star Wars universe.  If you thought Wayne and I had issues with the novelization of Episode II, you just sit back and listen to us get our bash on in this episode.

After we discuss how awful this novelization was, we do end on a very high note with an interview with prolific author Kevin J. Anderson who shares some fascinating behind the scenes of how the Jedi Academy Trilogy came into being, and he lives a fanboy’s dream when digging though Frank Herbert’s personal notes on the Dune series and working with it.  He gives you the low down on all of his upcoming projects and much more…and I ask him how he feels about his creations of Admiral Daala becoming Chief of State and Jacen becoming a Sith.  It is a fun and great chat.
