Episode 40 “Turkey and Wampas and Hoth O My” or “Donald F. Glut’s Wild Ride” of your Star Wars Book Report
Welcome to our Thanksgiving Special where Wayne and I break down the novelization of Empire Strikes Back by Donald F. Glut, and I promise we are more positive in today’s show than we were in the previous two episodes. We share what we enjoyed and did not in this novel. We argue over the value of Lando, and I am right.
Then, we interview the author himself Mr. Donald F. Glut who stops by to share the wild ride that has been his career from creating Castle Grayskull to being produced by a Monkey to collecting art to writing comics to inventing special effects that made Hollywood take not to writing a novelization of a movie we all love. It is a fascinating interview with an even more fascinating person.
We hope you enjoy our Thanksgiving special, and know that Wayne and I are always thankful for you our listeners.
Thanks for exploring the galaxy with us one page at a time.

Episode 39 – “Steve Glosson Strikes Back” or Game On With Greg Bear” of your Star Wars Book Report
In today’s Steve Glosson is back to break down more of the movie novelizations, as he tries to defend the novelization of Episode IV…I am Serious. He is going to argue this is a good book. I jest. I would like you to weigh in on our discussion. Do you agree with Steve that this novelization is great and entertaining? or do you agree with Wayne and I that this book left a lot to be desired? You can e-mail us your opinion to jesse@starwarsbookreport.com or you can jot us a note on Facebook or tweet us twits on Twitter @swbookreport. We want you to sound off on this novel.
After Wayne, Steve, and I argue for a while, we bring on a much more agreeable guest in Mr. Greg Bear who is the author of numerous science fiction novels that have won multiple Hugo and Nebula awards. He authored Rogue Planet in the Star Wars Universe, and in working on a Halo prequel trilogy. He also consulted for NASA, which I just think is too cool.
So come along and explore with us the galaxy one page at a time as we enjoy two guest in Steve Glosson and Mr. Greg Bear.
Thanks for listening, Jesse

Episode 38 – “I Apologize For Our Negativity” or “Katching Up With Kevin J. Anderson” of your Star Wars Book Report
In today’s episode, we continue our wild journey through novelizations of the Star Wars movies, and we dive into not only the first Star Wars novel…we dive into the world’s first glimpse into the Star Wars universe. If you thought Wayne and I had issues with the novelization of Episode II, you just sit back and listen to us get our bash on in this episode.
After we discuss how awful this novelization was, we do end on a very high note with an interview with prolific author Kevin J. Anderson who shares some fascinating behind the scenes of how the Jedi Academy Trilogy came into being, and he lives a fanboy’s dream when digging though Frank Herbert’s personal notes on the Dune series and working with it. He gives you the low down on all of his upcoming projects and much more…and I ask him how he feels about his creations of Admiral Daala becoming Chief of State and Jacen becoming a Sith. It is a fun and great chat.
