Episode 53 “Michael Stackpole Standing By or Snake Eyes of your Star Wars Book Report

In today’s episode, we interview X-Wing architect Michael Stackpole.  He shares what the Star Wars trivia contest was like between Timothy Zahn and himself, the background of the some of his X-Wing characters, the creation of the X-Wing series, and so much more.  He was a blast and even covers where the name of his website, www.stormwolf.com, could have gotten it’s name.

Then, Wayne and I review Mr. Stackpole’s X-Wing: Wedge’s Gamble.

Also, we discuss the massive amount of news that has come out recently which includes: Wayne’s guest spot on R2 in 22, the possible retirement of George Lucas, the layoffs at Bioware, the exciting release of Star Wars 1313, and much more.

Finally, we try one last time to get a winner in our “What is the beep?” contest.  The first person to e-mail me the correct answer to what word(s) are beeped out will win a copy of Jeff Grubb’s Scourge.

So come along and explore the galaxy with us one page at a time.

Thanks for listening, Jesse

  • [...] SW Book Report has posted their interview with former Star Wars author Michael A. Stackpole. Click her to listen to the interview. [...]

  • [...] Lots of them! In the world of podcasts, we have Aaron Allston over at Tosche Station Radio and Mike Stackpole at Star Wars Book Report. If you can stomach the ForceCast, they had Leland Chee on, plus there’s a new Jedi Journals. [...]

  • I have no objectivity about Marvel Star Wars, except that I liked The Crimson Forever and any issue where the characters actually resembled the cast. It was my monthly fix during three-year waits, between the ages of 9 and 15 and then a little beyond until the horrible final cover. I still have most of those. Then again I also have every “V” comic.

  • Re: Whomever produced the comment that this was an excellent internet site truly needs to get their head evaluated.
